In the 1928 Stanley Cup Final, the New York Rangers faced certain doom. Already trailing in the series 1-0, the Broadway Blue Shirts lost their goaltender, Lorne Chabot, to a horrific eye injury. After managing to survive game two, Lester Patrick went about finding a replacement goaler. When he settled on the washed-out Joe Miller, the opposition figured their second Stanley Cup was theirs to lose. But Red Light Miller had other plans.
